Vice President Kashim Shettima told supporters at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally that the toughest phases of Nigeria’s “aggressive economic reset” have been completed, and that the country is now poised for a period of “pure harvest,” nationwide growth and prosperity.
The statement refers to the reform agenda launched by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which has been described as an aggressive effort to stabilise the economy and address long‑standing fiscal challenges.
“The toughest phases of Nigeria’s aggressive economic reset undertaken by the administration of President Bola Tinubu are officially over, clearing the runway for an era of pure harvest, nationwide growth and prosperity,” Shettima said.
Shettima framed the upcoming electoral term as a time when the benefits of those reforms will be fully realised, positioning the APC’s campaign around continued economic recovery and development.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, has been seeking to revive growth after years of recession and high inflation, making the promise of a “harvest” season a central theme in the ruling party’s political messaging.
