Our Safety Commitment

SpeakOX exists to give people a safe, anonymous space to share their stories and find support. Safety is not an afterthought — it is built into every layer of the platform, from how we store data to how we review content. This page explains what we prohibit, how we enforce our rules, and how you can help keep the community safe.

Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately. Severe or repeated violations result in permanent account suspension and may be referred to law enforcement.

Illegal Content
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
  • Content that facilitates human trafficking
  • Instructions for illegal weapons or explosives
  • Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism
  • Doxxing or non-consensual sharing of private information
Harmful Content
  • Graphic threats or incitement of violence against individuals or groups
  • Hate speech targeting protected characteristics
  • Content designed to harass or bully specific people
  • Detailed self-harm instructions or suicide methods
  • Scam content, phishing links, or malware distribution
Abuse & Spam
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior or bot campaigns
  • Commercial spam or unsolicited advertisements
  • Impersonation of real individuals or organizations
  • Deliberate misinformation designed to cause real-world harm
Adult & Explicit Content
  • Explicit sexual content is not permitted without appropriate warnings
  • Sexual content involving minors under any circumstance
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery

How We Moderate Content

SpeakOX uses a layered approach to content moderation that combines automated tools with human review:

AI Pre-screening

Every story, comment, and uploaded file is scanned by our AI moderation system before it becomes publicly visible. The AI detects harmful content patterns, hate speech, phishing links, and spam with high accuracy.

Community Reporting

Any user can flag content for review. Reports are triaged by severity — content involving illegal material is escalated immediately, while other reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Human Admin Review

Our moderation team reviews flagged content, disputed decisions, and edge cases. Human reviewers make final calls on account suspensions and content removal.

Escalation to Authorities

Content that constitutes a credible threat to life, involves CSAM, or facilitates serious crime is reported to the relevant authorities without delay. We cooperate fully with law enforcement pursuant to our law enforcement guidelines.

Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was suspended and you believe the decision was incorrect, you may appeal by emailing support@speakox.com with your username (if applicable) and a clear explanation. We review all appeals within 5 business days.
