Former Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie has recalled a strange episode from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when Nigeria’s U‑23 squad had to don the Super Falcons’ kits after their own gear was sent home.
During a recent interview with Punch Nigeria, Odemwingie explained that the men's under‑23 side arrived in China with a full set of national shirts, only to discover that the kits had been misplaced and shipped back to Lagos.
