Super Eagles forward Moses Usor suffered an injury scare during LASK’s 4-0 Champions League triumph over Slovan Bratislava, a match that took place just a week before Nigeria’s upcoming international qualifiers.
The Austrian side LASK dominated the Slovak club, scoring four goals and securing a comfortable win. Usor, who plays for LASK, was involved in the game’s attacking play and provided an assist before the incident that raised concerns about his health.
According to match reports, Usor appeared to be in discomfort after delivering the assist, prompting immediate attention from the team’s medical staff. While the exact nature of the injury was not disclosed, the scare has been noted by both club and national team officials.
The timing of the incident is significant, as Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, are preparing for a series of crucial qualifiers. Usor’s fitness will be closely monitored, given his role in the attacking lineup.
Both LASK and the Nigeria Football Federation have indicated that they will assess Usor’s condition in the coming days and provide updates before the qualifiers commence. Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, relies heavily on its star players to maintain its strong footballing reputation.
