The television pool, a long‑standing arrangement that allows major networks to share resources and footage of the president’s activities, was halted by the networks, leaving the administration without its usual broadcast conduit.
In response, the White House created “Trump TV” to deliver live and recorded footage directly to the public, bypassing the conventional media channels that had been suspended.
Senator Rubio, speaking on the issue, said the ban on outlets such as CNN, MSNBC and Politico was justified, arguing that the administration needed a reliable platform to communicate its message without interference.
