The Ilobu community in Osun State, together with the family of the late Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has approached the state government to request the rehabilitation of a local hospital.
The appeal follows a long‑standing concern that the community’s health facility requires significant repairs and upgrades. The family of the former military commander has urged the government to prioritise the project, citing the hospital’s importance to residents of Ilobu and surrounding areas.
Osun State, located in southwestern Nigeria, has a number of public hospitals that have struggled with maintenance and funding. The Ilobu community’s request is part of a broader effort to improve health infrastructure across the state.
While the state government has not yet issued a formal response, the community and the Lagbaja family remain hopeful that the rehabilitation will be approved and funded in the near future.
