Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji announced that his administration will use new infrastructure investments to spur industrial productivity and broader economic progress in the state.
Speaking at a recent press briefing, Oyebanji said the government’s strategy focuses on improving roads, power supply and other critical facilities that enable manufacturers and small‑scale enterprises to operate more efficiently.
The governor emphasized that better infrastructure will attract private investors, create jobs and reduce the cost of doing business, thereby positioning Ekiti as a hub for industrial growth within Nigeria’s southwestern region.
Ekiti, one of Nigeria’s 36 states, has traditionally relied on agriculture, but recent policy shifts aim to diversify its economy by fostering manufacturing and value‑added industries.
Oyebanji concluded that sustained infrastructure development is essential for the state’s long‑term economic transformation and pledged that the administration will continue to prioritize projects that support industrial expansion.
