Jamie Carragher has slammed Lisandro Martinez’s recent remarks about the Manchester United hierarchy, calling the defender’s comments “awful” and urging him to focus on his own performance after a “really poor” start to the season.
Martinez, who has been a key figure in United’s defence, was criticised for speaking out on the club’s management. Carragher, a former Liverpool defender and current pundit, said the player should look at himself rather than the club’s leadership.
“It’s awful. He should look at himself because of his really poor start to the season,” Carragher said.
The criticism comes amid ongoing discussions about United’s performance and the role of senior players in voicing concerns about club direction. Martinez’s comments have sparked debate among fans and analysts alike.
