Cameroon U20 Lions win UNIFFAC
The Cameroon U20 national team, nicknamed the Lions, achieved a significant milestone by clinching the UNIFFAC tournament. In a tightly contested final, they defeated the Central African Republic 1‑0 to secure the championship.
Coach Yvan Kenmoe said the team's primary goal had been clear from the start: to compete at the African Cup of Nations (CAN) and to become UNIFFAC champions. “Objectif clair, participer à la CAN et être champion de l’UNIFFAC,” he remarked after the victory.
The win marks the first time the U20 Lions have reached this level of success in the regional competition, which is organised by the Union of Central African Football Federations (UNIFFAC).
With the tournament behind them, the squad now looks ahead to the next stages of continental competition, building on the momentum generated by their triumph.
