Aisha Yesufu, a rights activist, has blasted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership as “abysmally disastrous” amid a growing clash between Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and the Progressives Governors Forum.
The criticism comes after a series of tensions that began when the All‑Progressive Congress (APC) governors accused Wike’s Rivers State Rainbow Coalition of undermining their authority. The governors warned that the coalition could pose a threat to Tinubu’s re‑election bid in 2027.
In response, Wike called the APC governors “lazy politicians,” a remark that further inflamed the debate. The back‑and‑forth between the two sides has drawn attention from national media and political observers.
On X, Yesufu wrote that “Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been unable to control his party members and appointees and they are currently all over the place fighting each other and spilling the beans on how they are looting public funds.” She added that the situation “says everything about the leadership of Mr Tinubu! Abysmally disastrous.”
Yesufu’s comments highlight the growing frustration among some activists and politicians over perceived mismanagement within the ruling party. The situation remains fluid as the 2027 election campaign approaches.
