The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a revised list of members for its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, adding Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and two state governors, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State.
The Campaign Council is tasked with coordinating the party’s nationwide outreach, fundraising and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 presidential election, which is expected to be Nigeria’s next major electoral contest.
In addition to the newly named members, the APC’s revised roster includes other senior party officials and political operatives, although their identities were not detailed in the announcement.
Wike, who currently serves as minister for the Federal Capital Territory, previously governed Rivers State for two terms and is a prominent figure within the party. Governor Adeleke, elected in 2023, leads Osun State in the southwest, while Governor Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, heads Anambra State in the southeast.
The inclusion of these high‑profile leaders signals the APC’s effort to broaden its appeal across Nigeria’s diverse regions as it prepares its campaign machinery for the upcoming election cycle.
