Former Osun State lawmaker Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has urged opposition politicians to stop criticising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to instead provide support as Nigeria confronts a range of economic challenges.

Speaking in a recent statement, Oyintiloye said that persistent criticism of the president is counter‑productive and that the nation needs a united effort to address the pressing fiscal issues.

He argued that constructive backing, rather than partisan attacks, would give the Tinubu administration a better chance of implementing policies aimed at stabilising the economy.

Oyintiloye’s call comes amid ongoing concerns over inflation, foreign‑exchange shortages and other macro‑economic pressures that have affected households and businesses across the country.

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, has been grappling with these economic difficulties since President Tinubu took office in 2023, prompting calls from various quarters for both accountability and collaborative solutions.
