President Bola Tinubu met French media magnate Vincent Bolloré in Paris on a mission to attract foreign investment into Nigeria’s growing film, entertainment and digital economy sectors.
The two leaders held the meeting in the French capital, where Tinubu outlined Nigeria’s ambition to expand its creative industries, often referred to as the “creative economy.”
Bolloré, who has extensive holdings in media and telecommunications, was briefed on the opportunities for investment in Nollywood, digital media, and related technology ventures across the country.
During the talks, Tinubu emphasised the need for international partnerships to help Nigeria diversify its economy beyond oil and to create jobs in creative and digital sectors.
While the details of any potential investment remain confidential, the meeting signals Nigeria’s continued push to position itself as a hub for African film and digital innovation.
