The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced that it has seized more than ₦3.4 billion worth of illicit drugs in a series of nationwide operations.

Among the contraband recovered were tramadol, a prescription painkiller, and cannabis. The seizure was part of a broader effort to curb drug trafficking across the country.

During the same operations, the agency arrested a person posing as a police officer, along with several other suspects. The arrests were made following the interception of the drug shipments.

NDLEA officials said the crackdown demonstrates the agency’s continued focus on dismantling drug networks and preventing the spread of harmful substances.

Details of the operation and the identities of the other arrested individuals were not disclosed by the agency.
