Portuguese second‑tier side Torreense will host English club Sunderland in a Europa League match, a game that will mark the Portuguese club’s first ever European home fixture.
The match is part of the competition’s early qualifying rounds, with both teams looking to advance to the next stage. Torreense, who compete in Portugal’s second division, will play on home soil for the first time in a continental tie.
Sunderland, a club with a long history in English football, will travel to Torreense’s stadium to take on the Portuguese side. The fixture offers the English club a chance to test itself against a European opponent outside of the Premier League.
Details such as the exact date and kickoff time have not yet been released, but the match will be a significant milestone for Torreense, who have not previously played a home match in a European competition.
