Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASUED) in Nigeria has partnered with a university in the United States to train 30 early‑career lecturers in artificial intelligence, innovative teaching methods and grant‑writing skills.

The collaboration is designed to build capacity among junior faculty, giving them exposure to emerging technologies and modern pedagogical approaches that can enhance the quality of instruction at TASUED.

Under the programme, participants will attend workshops covering AI fundamentals, the design of interactive curricula, and practical strategies for securing research funding through grant proposals.

The initiative reflects a broader push within Nigeria’s higher‑education sector to integrate digital tools and research‑oriented training, aligning with national objectives to modernise teaching and boost scholarly output.

After completing the training, the 30 lecturers are expected to return to TASUED and share their new expertise with colleagues and students, potentially fostering further collaboration between the Nigerian and U.S. institutions.
