Victor Osimhen gave Galatasaray an early lead when he headed home a Gabriel Sara cross in the 12th minute, helping the Turkish side record a 4‑0 away victory over Konyaspor at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium on Friday.
The Nigerian striker, who plays for the Super Eagles, opened the scoring with the header that put the visitors ahead and set the tone for the match.
Galatasaray continued to dominate the game, adding three further goals to secure a commanding win over the hosts.
Osimhen’s contribution highlights the impact of Nigeria’s leading forward in European club football, where he has become a regular scorer for the Istanbul‑based club.
The Turkish Süper Lig, the country’s top‑flight competition, sees Galatasaray traditionally among its most successful teams, and the result further strengthens their position in the league table.
