Drone attacks across Sudan have killed at least 14 civilians and injured several others, while strikes on electricity infrastructure have triggered widespread power cuts and disrupted clean water supplies, the United Nations and the Arab League have warned.

The incidents were reported in several localities, including El Sunut, Ed Damazin, El Zahour and Khart, according to the AllAfrica source Dabana.

Attacks on power stations and transmission lines have left large areas without electricity, hampering households and emergency services. The loss of power has also affected water treatment plants, cutting off clean water for many residents.

In a statement, the United Nations highlighted the growing humanitarian toll, noting that civilians are bearing the brunt of the conflict through loss of life, essential services and basic supplies.

The Arab League has expressed similar concern, urging all parties to cease hostilities and protect civilian infrastructure.

Sudan, a country in northeastern Africa, has been embroiled in conflict since 2023, and the recent drone strikes come amid ongoing fighting that has drawn international attention and calls for restraint.
