Saudi Arabia’s aviation authority reported that three people were wounded after Houthi forces struck the Jazan and Najran airports, both located near the kingdom’s border with Yemen.

The attacks caused severe injuries and damage to infrastructure at the two airports, which serve the southwestern Jazan province and the Najran region, respectively. Officials said the strikes hit civilian facilities and prompted an immediate emergency response.

The Houthi movement, based in Yemen, has been conducting cross‑border attacks on Saudi targets since the conflict escalated in 2015, aiming to pressure the kingdom over its involvement in the Yemeni war.

Saudi aviation officials indicated that they are assessing the full extent of the damage and taking measures to secure the airports and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.

The incidents add to a recent pattern of attacks on Saudi infrastructure near the Yemen frontier, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the region.
