Saracens, the professional rugby union club based in London, has announced that it has launched an investigation into an incident involving a player from its men's senior academy in St Albans.
The club said the investigation is being carried out in accordance with its internal disciplinary procedures and that it is cooperating fully with any relevant authorities.
Details of the incident have not yet been released, and Saracens has urged the public to allow the investigation to proceed without speculation.
St Albans, where the senior academy is located, is a key development centre for the club’s future talent pipeline.
Saracens has previously dealt with disciplinary matters at the academy level and will continue to uphold its commitment to player welfare and professional conduct.
