Residents of the Olaoluwa Community in Lagos are calling for urgent repairs to a community road that has been in a state of disrepair for more than three decades.
The road, which has long been neglected, has deteriorated to a point where potholes and uneven surfaces pose a serious risk to motorists and pedestrians alike.
According to local residents, the poor condition of the road has caused frequent accidents and made everyday travel difficult, especially during the rainy season when the surface becomes slick and unstable.
Community members have expressed frustration over the lack of maintenance and have urged local authorities to prioritise the road’s rehabilitation to improve safety and reduce the hardship they face on a daily basis.
Olaoluwa is one of many neighbourhoods in Lagos where infrastructure challenges continue to affect residents’ quality of life.
