Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. will be absent from the highly anticipated El Clásico on 25 October after a four‑match ban imposed for pulling defender William Saliba’s hair during a recent La Liga fixture.
The incident occurred in a La Liga match where Vinicius was shown a red card for the hair‑pulling offence. The Spanish league’s disciplinary committee confirmed a four‑match suspension, covering the upcoming clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
El Clásico, the fierce rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona, is scheduled for 25 October at the Santiago Bernabéu. Vinicius’s absence will leave the Spanish giants without one of their key attacking options in the fixture.
With the ban covering the next four league games, Real Madrid will need to adjust their line‑up for the remainder of the season. The club’s coaching staff will look to other forwards to fill the void left by Vinicius in the high‑profile match.
Vinicius’s suspension highlights the strict disciplinary measures taken by La Liga for on‑field misconduct, reinforcing the league’s commitment to maintaining sportsmanship and player safety.
