The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Cleveland Guardians 3‑1 on Sunday night, taking a 3‑2 lead in the American League Championship Series.
Right‑hander Drew Rasmussen was the star of the night, pitching seven innings and allowing just one run for his second postseason victory. The win gives the Rays a crucial advantage as the series moves closer to a decisive game.
Rays’ offense kept the pressure on from the start, scoring three runs while limiting the Guardians to a single score. The combination of solid pitching and consistent hitting proved enough to secure the win.
With the series now 3‑2, the Rays will look to carry the momentum into the next matchup, while the Guardians face a tough challenge to stay in contention.
