Pornhub Returns to Australia, Limited to Adults with Apple Devices
The world's leading adult entertainment platform, Pornhub, has made a comeback in Australia but only for adult users with Apple devices.
The site was pulled from Australian shores in March due to the implementation of strict age verification laws aimed at protecting minors from accessing explicit content.
Now, Pornhub has announced that users with Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads, can once again access the platform.
In a statement, Pornhub explained:We understand the importance of adhering to local regulations, and we are pleased to provide our service to responsible adults in Australia who use Apple devices.
We commend Pornhub for working with Apple to ensure that its service is accessible to responsible adults while safeguarding the interests of our young population. The move comes as a result of the cooperation between Pornhub and Apple, which has enabled the site to implement strict age verification measures on its iOS app.
However, users without Apple devices or those in countries where Pornhub is not yet available will continue to face restrictions.
Australian authorities have welcomed the return of Pornhub to the country, emphasizing the importance of responsible internet usage:
The age verification measures implemented by Pornhub are expected to help reduce the number of minors accessing adult content in Australia.
As the platform becomes accessible to adult users with Apple devices, it remains to be seen how the move will impact the Australian adult entertainment industry and online safety.
