A high‑speed train crash in Spain has killed 30 people, authorities have confirmed.
Emergency crews are currently focused on rescuing survivors from the wreckage, Health Minister Monica Garcia said in a statement to the press.
Garcia added that the response teams are working around the clock to locate and aid those trapped in the damaged train cars.
Investigators are now examining the incident to determine its cause, while the Spanish rail network remains on alert for further disruptions.
Spain operates one of Europe’s largest high‑speed rail networks, with the AVE system linking major cities across the country.
