A 16‑year‑old suspect was shot multiple times by an armed father after a teacher fought him at a primary school in Oregon.
Police say the teenager had previously attended the school and had targeted a special educational needs classroom.
Details of the confrontation are still emerging, but authorities report that the teacher engaged the suspect before the father, who was armed, fired several shots.
Police have not yet released the name of the school or the identity of the suspect’s father.
The incident has raised concerns about school safety and the need for clear protocols in dealing with violent threats.
