The Associated Press released its Top 25 college football poll on Sunday, keeping No. 1 Miami in place while idle Ohio State vaulted to the No. 2 spot.
Ohio State’s rise came despite not playing a game that week, moving up the rankings as the poll adjusted to recent results across the nation.
In contrast, Brigham Young University fell six places to No. 8 after a loss to the University of Central Florida, a defeat that triggered a major reshuffle in the middle of the rankings.
Miami was the only team to retain its position from the previous poll, underscoring the Buckeyes’ and BYU’s movements as the most notable changes.
The latest AP Top 25 reflects a broader reordering of the college football landscape following BYU’s setback, with several other programs shifting positions as the weekly rankings were updated.
