Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) have expressed their condolences after the sudden death of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, who had been suffering from a brief illness.

Commander Ogunjobi was in charge of the FRSC sector in Ogun State, overseeing road safety operations across the region. The FRSC, a national agency tasked with enforcing road safety laws, has relied on his leadership for several years.

Governor Abiodun said the loss of the commander was a blow to the state and to the road safety community. He added that he was personally saddened by the news and wished the best for the commander's family.

The NUJ also mourned the death, noting that the commander was a respected public servant. The union called for support for his family during this difficult time.

Details of the funeral arrangements have not yet been released. The FRSC and state authorities will likely conduct a formal memorial service in honour of Commander Ogunjobi’s service to road safety in Ogun State.
