Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has officially inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the state. The move is designed to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration marks a significant step in the ruling party’s strategy to consolidate its political presence across Delta State. By establishing a dedicated campaign council, the governor aims to coordinate activities at the local level to ensure maximum voter engagement ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
While the source material does not specify the exact date of the ceremony or list the names of the council members, the announcement highlights the party's focus on structural readiness for the 2027 polls. The campaign council is expected to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between party leadership and the electorate.
This development underscores the increasing political activity in Delta State as various stakeholders position themselves for the next general election. The emphasis on grassroots mobilisation suggests a strategy focused on direct community engagement rather than solely relying on top-down directives.
Observers note that such organizational structures are critical for sustaining political momentum and ensuring that party messages reach all corners of the state. The inauguration of the council signals that the APC in Delta State is moving from planning phases to active operational deployment.
