Sporting Lagos’ home clash with Rivers United, originally slated for Saturday 7 November, has been postponed, the club confirmed on Thursday.
The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture was cancelled because the venue was not available on the scheduled date. Sporting Lagos did not disclose the reason for the unavailability, only that a new date will be set soon.
Despite the postponement, nine other NPFL matches are still scheduled to take place this weekend at different stadiums.
Both clubs will await further notice from Sporting Lagos regarding a rescheduled date for the match.
