The Northern Senators Forum has called for an official probe into the killing of 26 worshippers in Taraba State, urging security agencies to arrest the perpetrators responsible for the attack.
The forum’s statement, issued after the incident, stresses the need for a swift and thorough investigation to bring those involved to justice and to provide answers for the families of the victims.
In its appeal, the Northern Senators Forum specifically asked federal and state security agencies to launch a comprehensive inquiry and to take decisive action against anyone found culpable.
Taraba State, located in Nigeria’s north‑east region, has experienced a series of security challenges in recent years, prompting heightened concern among lawmakers and the public alike.
The senators’ demand adds pressure on authorities to respond promptly, as the community mourns the loss of the 26 worshippers and seeks accountability for the tragedy.
