Kirk Cousins will remain the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, coach Klint Kubiak announced on Monday.
The decision confirms Cousins’ role heading into the weekend matchup, giving the Raiders continuity at the most important position on the field.
Kubiak’s statement was made publicly on Monday, indicating that the coaching staff sees no need to alter the quarterback depth chart for the upcoming contest.
The Jets, who will travel to Las Vegas for the game, are scheduled to meet the Raiders on Sunday as part of the NFL’s regular‑season slate.
With the quarterback position settled, the Raiders will focus on preparing their overall game plan for the Jets, while Cousins prepares to lead the offense for the second straight start.
