Minor Dies After Regaining Freedom, Many Others Abducted in Same Kaduna Community

A 13-year-old girl, Hasana Bulus, tragically passed away just a day after regaining her freedom following a seven-month abduction in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The incident occurred as part of a larger attack on the community carried out by members of Reuben Buhari's extended family, including his cousins, their children, and grandchildren.

On Wednesday, November 4th, at around 12:30 am, bandits led by Buhari's relatives targeted the residents of Akwando village, abducting 18 people, including adults and children. Among the victims are Usman Galadima (30), his one-year-old daughter, Jeneth Galadima; Laraba Galadima (32); Sim Shagari (30); Yangal Shagari (3), and Yangal Shagari's five-month-old brother, Musa Genesis.

Additionally, the attack left two infants unidentified, a four-month-old girl and a five-month-old boy. The victims were part of a larger group of 18 people who were kidnapped by bandits led by Reuben Buhari's family members, including their children and grandchildren.

Reuben Buhari's former aide, Patrick Buhari, stated that the little girl was released after her captors realized she was too young to be sold into slavery. He added that the attackers targeted the community due to a longstanding feud between their families.

Speaking to DAILY POST, Patrick Buhari said, "The bandits realized the girl was too young to be sold into slavery and released her. They targeted the community because of the longstanding feud between our families."
