Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a broad statement calling for “peace, not surrender,” addressing a range of issues that include international sanctions, regional conflicts, U.S.–Israel tensions, and the need for greater Muslim unity.
Regarding the sanctions that have been imposed on Iran, Pezeshkian emphasized that the country must remain steadfast and continue to pursue economic resilience while seeking diplomatic avenues to alleviate the pressure.
He also spoke about the ongoing regional conflicts, urging all parties involved to avoid further escalation and to prioritize diplomatic solutions that can bring lasting stability to the Middle East.
On the heightened tensions between the United States and Israel, the president warned that any increase in hostilities could have broader repercussions for regional security and called for dialogue as the preferred path forward.
Concluding his remarks, Pezeshkian appealed to Muslim nations to unite around common values and work together toward peace, stressing that solidarity among Muslim countries is essential for confronting shared challenges and fostering a more stable environment.
