JustWatch, the streaming‑search engine that has guided users through the maze of subscription services since 2015, has launched its own streaming platform today. The new service, called JustWatch TV, aims to turn the company from a catalogue into a content provider, offering a mix of free, ad‑supported titles and movies available for rent.

In a move that tackles the growing fragmentation of streaming libraries, JustWatch TV provides a small but curated selection of films that are not available for free on any other platform. Among the titles that can be streamed at no cost are Green Room (2015), Locke (2013) and Sing Sing (2023). Other free offerings include Fiddlin’ (2018), the classic horror film Friday the 13th (1980) and the 2018 drama Hotel Mumbai.

Users can watch these free movies without creating an account, though the service also offers a catalogue of titles that can be rented for a fee. The combination of free, ad‑supported content and paid rentals is intended to give viewers a one‑stop shop for both casual and more dedicated viewing.

JustWatch’s move into content distribution follows years of helping audiences locate where their favourite films and shows are available. By adding a streaming arm, the company hopes to capture a share of the subscription market while continuing to provide its core discovery service.
