Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have killed eight people, including a child, hospital officials said on Thursday.
In Khan Younis, five officers belonging to the Hamas‑run police force were among those killed. The strike was reported by local authorities and confirmed by the hospital treating the wounded.
In Gaza City, three civilians were killed, one of whom was a child. The casualties were identified by city officials and corroborated by medical staff at the nearest hospital.
The attacks come amid a prolonged conflict that has left Gaza heavily damaged and its population in crisis. The United Nations and several humanitarian groups have repeatedly called for a ceasefire and protection of civilians in the densely populated enclave.
