Iran has warned that it will “rain down hell” if the United States escalates a potential conflict, according to a statement released by Iranian officials. The comment comes as tensions between the two nations have risen in recent weeks.
In a separate development, President Donald Trump said that U.S. forces are “locked and loaded” and ready to strike if necessary. The remark was made during a briefing in which the president emphasized the United States’ preparedness to respond to any provocation.
These statements reflect a sharp escalation in rhetoric from both sides. While the Iranian threat is aimed at deterring further U.S. military action, Trump’s comments suggest a willingness to use force to protect American interests.
Experts warn that such exchanges could increase the risk of a broader confrontation in the region. The international community has urged both parties to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic solutions.
“Our forces are locked and loaded and ready to strike if necessary,” President Trump said.
