During the meeting, Kanu demanded justice, obedience to court orders, and investigations into the killings of IPOB members and supporters.
The group also called on the international community to review the records of Kanu's trial and the peace meeting with the South-East governors.
The proscription of IPOB came just days after the meeting, on September 15, 2017, when the group was declared a terrorist organisation by the Nigerian government.
