Nigerian comedian and content creator Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi, better known as Bae U Barbie, said on a recent episode of The Moraya Show that he has abandoned skit making because he was “tired of being average.”
In the interview, Bae U explained that the idea for his popular comic talk show Curiosity Made Me Ask emerged while he was searching for a new direction in his career. “I was tired of being average and wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to be like the skit makers,” he said.
He added that the concept for the show was inspired by the program Between Two Fence by Zack, which helped him rediscover himself and shape a fresh format for his comedy.
Beyond comedy, Bae U revealed that his biggest dream is to interview the former President of the United States, Donald Trump. The Nigerian has already interviewed several high‑profile figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, film legend Pete Edochie and veteran host Frank Edoho.
By stepping away from traditional skit production, Bae U hopes to broaden his creative output and pursue more ambitious projects that set him apart from his peers.
