The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced that it successfully intercepted an armed robbery attempt on the Kaduna‑Zaria highway, engaging the suspects in a confrontation that prevented the crime from proceeding.
According to the agency, operatives were on patrol when they detected suspicious activity near the highway. The suspects, reportedly armed, attempted to seize vehicles and passengers, but NDLEA officers responded promptly, resulting in a brief engagement that stopped the robbery.
NDLEA officials stated that the swift action by their team prevented any loss of life or property damage. “Our officers were able to neutralise the threat and secure the area before the perpetrators could carry out their plan,” the agency said.
