A teenage boy was hospitalised after a hit‑and‑run incident on the Onipanu Bus Rapid Transit corridor in Fadeyi, Lagos State, on Wednesday.
The boy was struck by a vehicle while crossing the corridor, sustaining head and leg injuries that required immediate medical attention.
Dr Olufemi Oke‑Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed in a statement that the victim was taken to a hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but details about the vehicle or its driver remain unknown.
The Onipanu BRT corridor is a key transport route in Lagos, a city that is Nigeria’s largest and most populous.
