James Maddison returned to Tottenham Hotspur’s starting XI for the first time in nearly 18 months, and he made the moment count with a stunning goal that secured the club’s first Premier League win of the season.
The midfielder’s return came after a long period on the bench, and his goal proved to be the difference in a match that saw Spurs lift their first league victory of the campaign.
“I still have so much more to give,” Maddison said after the game, reflecting on his renewed role in the squad.
His performance has been hailed by the club’s coaching staff as a sign that Tottenham’s attack has regained some of the flair it has lacked since the start of the season.
With the win, Spurs move forward in the Premier League table, while Maddison’s impact is already being felt across the team’s midfield and forward lines.
