Greens leader David Shoebridge has denied any knowledge of a 47‑page “secret dossier” that allegedly details misconduct allegations against Western Australian Greens senator Jordon Steele‑John and outlines how to suppress media coverage of those claims. The allegation emerged after The Nine newspapers reported on Friday that the document, first drafted in 2016, existed.

Shoebridge told reporters the dossier was not “made by, used by, or seen by” his office. He said the matter has been referred to the parliamentary standards commission for further investigation.

The Nine described the dossier as a crisis‑management plan that purportedly contains allegations of misconduct against Steele‑John and instructions on limiting press reporting. No copy of the document has been made public.

The parliamentary standards commission is the body that examines complaints about the conduct of members of parliament, and it will now assess whether any breach of standards has occurred.

At the time of reporting, neither Senator Steele‑John nor other senior Greens officials had provided additional comment on the alleged dossier.
