Former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville praised the early showing of Carlos Baleba after the youngster made his first appearance for the Red Devils in a Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Baleba was introduced as a substitute during the second half of the match, and in his brief spell on the pitch he displayed “promising signs,” according to reports from the game. The French‑Cameroonian forward (as noted by Actu Cameroun) showed composure and movement that caught the eye of the former United captain.
Speaking after the game, Neville said, “Il y avait beaucoup plus d’énergie,” adding that Baleba brought “a lot more energy” to the United side compared with previous options in the same position.
Manchester United, one of England’s most successful clubs, were seeking to inject fresh attacking impetus against Tottenham, a fellow top‑flight team from London. Baleba’s cameo, though limited in minutes, was highlighted as a positive development in United’s search for depth on the wing.
While the match ended without a decisive impact from the newcomer, Neville’s endorsement suggests that Baleba could earn more opportunities as United continue their campaign, and his performance has already generated interest among United supporters eager for new talent.
