Florida pulled off a surprise victory over No. 7 Texas, winning 27‑24 in a game that saw Gator quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. lead a late rally to secure the win.
Jones Jr. was instrumental in the comeback, guiding the Gators to a decisive finish that overturned a deficit and capped a hard‑fought contest against the Longhorns.
The defeat marks Texas’s second consecutive loss, a result that could influence the Longhorns’ standing in the national rankings.
With the Gators’ win, Florida has added a significant victory to its season, while Texas faces the challenge of recovering from back‑to‑back defeats.
