The Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA) has issued an alarm over widespread destruction caused by floods, windstorms and other disasters across seven local government areas of the state.

According to TSEMA, the combined impact of the flooding and windstorms has left many communities in distress, with homes and farmlands reported as severely damaged.

The agency’s warning comes amid growing concerns about the frequency and intensity of natural disasters in the region, prompting calls for urgent relief and support for affected residents.

In response, TSEMA has mobilised emergency teams and is coordinating with local authorities to assess damage and provide assistance where needed.

Taraba State, located in northeastern Nigeria, is largely agricultural, and the recent events have raised fears that the damage could affect food security and livelihoods for thousands of people.
