Caitlin Clark said she has spoken with teammate Kelsey Mitchell after the latter revealed the online hate she has endured and the difficulty of playing with the Fever.
Clark’s comments came following Mitchell’s discussion of the harassment she has faced on social media and how it has affected her performance on the court. The conversation was described as a supportive exchange between the two players.
Mitchell’s remarks highlighted the broader challenge that athletes can encounter from online criticism, a problem that has been increasingly reported across professional sports.
While the Fever have not issued a formal statement on the matter, the team’s leadership has expressed a commitment to supporting its players against such negative attention.
Both Clark and Mitchell remain focused on their roles with the Fever, underscoring the importance of unity and resilience in the face of external pressures.
