Nottingham Forest secured a 3-1 victory over Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday, handing the visitors their third consecutive Premier League defeat. Liam Delap was the standout performer, netting two goals as Forest held on for all three points.

The home side opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Jair Cunha capitalised on a mistake by Manchester City defender Joško Gvardiol, driving forward and beating goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to put Forest ahead.

Forest doubled their lead in the 18th minute when Delap found the net following another defensive error by the visitors, extending the advantage to 2-0.

Manchester City responded after the break, reducing the deficit in the 52nd minute through Rayan Cherki, who scored with an impressive effort. However, Delap restored Forest’s two‑goal cushion in the 73rd minute, completing his brace with a fine finish to make it 3-1.

City were unable to break down the Forest defence in the closing stages, and the loss marks their third straight league defeat as they continue to chase the leaders. For Nottingham Forest, the win provides a significant boost, delivering three valuable points in front of their home supporters.
