Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has appointed prominent Nollywood actresses Rachael Okonkwo and Eucharia Anunobi to key positions within his administration. The appointments were officially announced on Monday through a Public Service Announcement signed by the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
The two actresses are part of a broader list of 101 political aides recently approved by Governor Mbah. According to the announcement, the new appointments are categorized into three distinct tiers: seven special advisers, six senior special assistants, and 88 special assistants.
Rachael Okonkwo was specifically named as the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Film and Creative Industry Development. Her role highlights the state government's focus on leveraging the entertainment sector for development.
Meanwhile, Eucharia Anunobi was appointed as the Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Enugu-North Zone. This position underscores the administration's efforts to engage women in the northern part of the state.
The appointments were made public via the official channel of the state government, with Prof. Onyia confirming the details of the new personnel structure in the signed document.
