The Directorate of Special Services (DSS) has arrested Faisal Maina, the son of a former pension boss, after he secretly returned to Nigeria. The security agency detained him and handed him over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he is expected to serve a jail term.
According to reports, Maina had been outside the country before his sudden arrival in Nigeria. The DSS acted swiftly, taking him into custody and transferring him to the EFCC for further processing.
The EFCC is the body responsible for investigating and prosecuting economic and financial crimes in Nigeria. By handing Maina over, the agency has taken a step to ensure he faces the legal consequences of his alleged offences.
Details of the charges against Maina and the length of his sentence have not yet been disclosed. The case remains under investigation by the EFCC.
